Code of Conduct

Scouting should be an enjoyable experience for all. Positive behaviour is essential to the smooth running of any activity.

Scouting is an ideal place to expect positive behaviour, with the Scouting Purpose and Method being based upon personal development, learning by doing and enjoyment.

Harpenden District members are expected to follow this Code of Conduct:

  • Treat leaders and other members with courtesy and respect
  • Arrive on time
  • Wear the Scout uniform with pride
  • Work together and include others
  • Behave sensibly
  • Do not harm or bully others
  • Keep the Scout Law
  • Have fun and be happy

Additionally, some of our groups and sections may have their own Code of Conduct which should be adhered to.
